Error Messages
If the disk-drive unit does not operate properly, an error number is displayed to the T.V. screen. Such cases should be handled as follows.
Error Number | Cause | Coping Methods |

01 | The disk drive may have failed or the disk may be defective. | Please contact the nearest Nintendo Customer Service Office (address, phone number on page **) or the store where the item was purchased. |
02 | The eject button may have been partially depressed during disk access. | Handle according to the instructions given for the particular game. See the game's user's manual for more information. |
03 | The disk drive may have failed. | Please contact the nearest Nintendo Customer Service Office (address, phone number on page **) or the store where the drive was purchased. |
04 | The disk may be defective. | |
05 | The clock may have temporarily stopped functioning. | Handle according to the instructions given for the particular game. See the game's user's manual for more information. |
If this error number appears repeatedly even though the date and time have been set, the internal lithium battery may be dead. | Please contact the nearest Nintendo Customer Service Office (address, phone number on page **) or the store where the item was purchased. | |

The 50-pin connector on the top of the disk drive or that on the bottom of the Nintendo 64 unit may be dirty or have something adhering to it. | ||
42 | Has a disk been inserted? | Insert a disk in the disk drive. |

47 | A different disk than that requested on the T.V. screen may have been inserted. | Replace the inserted disk with that requested on the T.V. screen. For more information, see the user's manual for the game. |
48 | The clock may have temporarily stopped functioning. | Set the date and time as described in 8., Setting the Date and Time.
