Operation Method


1. File Affiliation

In order to use MMV64, the data files must first be affiliated with the required converter and N64 program.
Press the FileSetting.gif (1042 bytes) button to open the file setting window.

The various buttons are described below.

New Press this button to set a new extension.
Refresh This refreshes the settings to the current state.
Delete This deletes the selected extension.
Default This returns the defaults to their initial settings.
Copy This stores the various settings for the selected extension.
Paste This pastes the various settings for the extension which was stored with Copy.
Use converter This panel (enclosed area) is explained in 4. Converter .
Target program Specify the filename, including the full path name, of the N64 program to be affiliated.
Data address Specify the ROM address to which data are to be transferred.

If the file specified under Target program is in a folder which is under the folder that contains MMV64.exe, it will be changed to the relative path as illustrated above.

2. Specifying the Target

When you are finished setting the file, select the target which will be used.
The following 3 types of hardware can be selected:

  • MONEGI Smart Pack A,B,C
  • PARTNER-N64
  • IS-VIEWER64

and up to 2 IS-VIEWER64's can be used.

Note: When using MONEGI Smart Pack A,B,C  or  PARTNER-N64, the following hardware settings are necessary.
      Press the
Setting.bmp (630 bytes) button to open the Target setting window (below).
       

  • Select A, B, or C when using a MONEGI Smart Pack.
  • Specify the folder in which Partner is installed when using the PARTNER-N64.

Press one of the following buttons to select a target.
MSP.bmp (630 bytes)Selects MONEGI Smart Pack A,B,C.
Partner.bmp (630 bytes)Selects PARTNER-N64.
IsViewer.bmp (630 bytes)Selects the first IS-VIEWER64.
IsViewer.bmp (630 bytes)Selects the second second IS-VIEWER64.
Hardware which cannot be used will be displayed in grey.
Only one piece of hardware can be selected at a time.

3. Run

When affiliation and target selection are completed, the program can be run.
You can run the file that you wish to playback on the N64 simply by dragging and dropping it from the Explorer into the main window (below).

You may also run the file by selecting the file that you wish to playback in the main window and then pressing the RUN button Run.bmp (630 bytes).

4. Resetting the N64

Reset.bmp (630 bytes)Press this button to reset the N64.

5. Stopping the N64

Stop.bmp (630 bytes)Press this button to stop the N64 without resetting it.

6. Setting File Watch Function

With the WatchFile option on, the file being displayed on the N64 is automatically reloaded when it gets updated.

Select the [Option-WatchFile Setting..] to open the WatchFile setting Window illustrated below.

       

Select the check box for WatchFile

Following is an explanation of each of the check boxes.

  • Check "Use WatchFile," to enable WatchFile.
  • Check "Show Execution Message," to display a message before reloading the file.
  • Check "Show Error Message," to display an error message when WatchFile fails.
